Meet Nightwing
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. Meet Nightwing
Nightwing is a 1.5-year-old German Shorthair Pointer mix who was found emaciated and abandoned by animal control in Cleveland, TX. With proper care and nourishment, he has blossomed into a healthy 55-pound boy with striking brown eyes and a stunning chocolate-brown coat accented by beige tiger stripes. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
This energetic pup loves to play with other dogs and especially enjoys zooming around the yard on his own. He’s an impressive athlete, effortlessly hurdling over three-foot piles of branches. Full of enthusiasm for life, Nightwing brings excitement and joy wherever he goes. He is fostered with multiple other dogs and is very friendly and playful.
Though initially shy and timid when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and becomes a loyal shadow, following his person everywhere. He adores ear scratches and prefers to cuddle up in bed at night. While it’s unclear if he was once trained for hunting, loud noises frighten him—he instinctively crouches when he hears them.
He loves car rides and hanging out with his foster mom. He walks well on leash. We have no history with cats. We recommend a home with kids 12 years and older, He is a moderate active guy, so looking for him a home who will provide outlets.
Nightwing is crate-trained, house-trained, and ready for a loving home where he’ll be cherished as a family member for the rest of his days. Could that home be yours?
