Nieve is the sweetest little thing. She is a 2 year old lab/hound mix that still acts like a puppy. She does great on walks and loves a tennis ball. Nieve loves any person she meets and will greet everyone with a hug. She has had a sad start to life. Before we rescued her she had 8 puppies who froze to death. She is adjusting well and is just a gem. Nieve loves to lay on the couch (or your lap) and just hang out. Nieve has a cancerous tumor on her vulva. Due to her tumor she has chronic bleeding, most days it is minimal but other days it can be a heavier flow. Because of her condition she has become less tolorable of other dogs so she would prefer to be the only dog. She absolutely loves all the attention she can get from her two legged friends. She would love to have a family to take care of her as she goes through this stage of her life. Nieve needs a home with a person/ people to love her and give her the pampered life she deserves. Contact Town and Country Humane Society to set up a time to see if you are that family.
The adoption fee is $300 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.
Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission. If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee. It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.
*****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal. If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.
