Hi there! I’m Nicole, but my foster mom calls me Pepper or Peps due to my adorable speckles and spunky personality. I’m a 1 year old, 38.5 pound pittie mix looking for my forever home!
I currently live with two dog siblings, and I absolutely love playing with my 2-year-old shepherd sister and I am respectful of the 10-year-old husky mix. I’ve interacted well with every dog and person that I have met, and I did great playing with a six-year-old child! I have not yet interacted with any cats, but I was respectfully wagging my tail at the cat we saw at the vet. Foster mom would not let me play with her.
I hang out in my crate when foster mom is gone and I will run into it if you throw a cookie first. At bedtime, I do need a blanket over my crate because I suffer from FOMO, and do not like being on my own if you are in the house and away from me. Once I’m covered with a blanket, I settle right down.
I have done very well on walks, and I’m not reactive to other animals. I am incredibly food motivated, so training me should hopefully be a breeze. I have learned some basic commands.
Chew toys are the BEST thing ever- marrow bones are my favorite! I am still learning, so I do sometimes chew things I’m not supposed to, but I redirect very quickly, and you can even take things right out of my mouth!
Foster mom says that at this point I am probably 85% potty trained, I have not had any accidents in the last few days, but I had a little bit of regression because we discovered I do not like going outside when it is pouring rain.
I love my playtime, but I’m also happy to sit and chill with you on the couch. If you are looking for a fun cuddle bug, I am your girl! Fill out an application with Rescued Rascals so we can meet! -Peps
