Nicola Black Labrador Retriever Mix Lafayette, CA

Gorgeous black lab mix, Nicola, has the most soulful eyes. She is approximately 2 years old and 46 pounds. All she wants is love and affectionate. Nicola was very scared in the shelter, but is learning to enjoy life in her foster home. She is Velcro dog and follows her foster mom everywhere. While she whines initially when left alone, she is able to self sooth and relaxes after a bit. She wants to please and loves positive reinforcement. Nicola is doing great with her leash training and crate training, but will need additional work. She is also working on house training and would benefit from a yard, as her foster mom said she is very smart and believes she could easily learn to use a doggy dog or potty bells. She needs a dog experienced adopter only. She will need a home with a yard.

Thank you for reading about our awesome dog. All dogs came to us from different situations and we often do not know much about their past, but they are rescue dogs who deserve a second chance and need patience on their journey. All of our dogs our are in foster homes all across the bay area.

The first step of the process is you must submit an application in order to set up a meet and great or talk with the foster family. Once application is submitted the foster parents will contact you to chat more about the dog and make sure they're a good fit and can answer any further question. The application answers most of all of our questions and can best match you. If you do not get the dog you apply for we can use your same application for 90 days towards another dog in our care and simply forward your app to that foster parent.

All dogs will be fully vetted (Spay/ Neutered, Micro chipped, DHPP and Rabies Vaccinated) and other possible vet care prior to adoption.

The adoption fee is $350, which is considered a non refundable donation
