Holy moly cuteness! Meet Nico. This kid cost us $20 and we think it might have saved his life. A volunteer was at a PetsMart early in the morning when two characters were standing out front with Nico. They asked each person that passed for $40 for their dog. Initially the volunteer walked right by but then quickly returned with $20. Nico was safe! We posted Nico (they did not have a name for him) on multiple sites looking for his people. Was he stolen? Was he a stray? How did he end up with the two men? Once we got Nico in his foster home, it became apparent that he had some trauma to his head. A welt formed with some fluid and Nico needed time to decompress as we tended to his wounds. Today Nico has emerged as an energetic goofball! He absolutely loves the tennis ball. He loves to play with his foster fur-family and he is everybody's best friend. Nico is a happy, secure, rambunctious youngster. He will thrive in a busy household and will also greatly benefit from training. As for his training, he loves car rides, is learning how to walk on a leash, and his kennel trained. Nico has all the making of a great pet. Nico is a beautiful dog...he turns heads when people first see him! If you are interested in adopting ($200) or meeting Nico, an application is a must: https://www.povertyspets.org/adoption-form. Once received, we will respond within 72 hours. Thank you.
