Nia (AKA Nova) Black Labrador Retriever & Boxer Mix Springfield, MO

In the paws of a dog's love, we find the purest, most loyal, and boundless affection, a reminder that the simplest moments can bring the greatest joy. My name is Nia (AKA Nova). I am an almost 6-year-old, 55-pound, Boxer/Lab mix lady. I am the best girl! I get along great with other dogs (after proper intros), and I LOVE kids (though I might accidentally knock very small kids down), and I am a true cat whisperer! I am house trained and do pretty well on a leash too. I am also great in my crate, and will go in on command. I really don't even need to be crated though. My main asset is my love for my humans and other animals, not to mention I have a black belt in fetch! Car rides are my jam and I think I might be a wonderful truckin' dog!

I have lived my whole life with a wonderful family as a beloved pet. Sadly, my family had some financial struggles and could no longer afford to provide the care they knew I deserved, so they surrendered me to Rescue One. You see, I developed severe allergies that were causing me to have a bad rash and be very itchy. My allergies are well managed though.** My ideal home has a fenced yard for me to run and play in and another dog and/or kiddo to play with. I would do okay in an apartment as long as I get plenty of exercise and regular off-leash time to run. I am so ready to find my new loving family. Will it be yours?? I hope so!

** I take daily allergy meds and supplements though (Apoquel and fish oil), which is why my adoption fee is only $75 instead of $150.
