Meet Netanyee (in TX)
THIS IS A RUSSIAN TOY TERRIER-NOT A PAPILLON5 pounds 12 oz/ 9 inRussian Toy Terrier (Long Haired)Netanyee is a well adjusted little guy who really loves the company of other small dogs. Netanyee has never been without a playmate or snuggle buddy. Netanyee loves to cuddle with his human as much as he loves to play! He is getting the concept of potty outside but doesn't like to go in cold or rainy weather. He did mark before his neuter but he is now marking considerably less and may only mark due to the other male dog in the home. He settled in immediately. He was very happy to spend most of his time in the house with the humans, however Netanyee loves being outside in our fenced yard in the nice weather! He is a door darter but this hasn't been seen in the foster home as they have extra barriers. We recommend a baby gate or some other barrier to block off the front door to be safe. Netanyee is not used to the vacuum , but he is learning it won't hurt him. I haven't noticed any other fears except very loud thunder, but even the thunder only startled him momentarily. Netanyee doesn't seem to have any other fear issues. He also loves to eat! Netanyee needs to be fed in his crate and kept away from other pets food, or your food ! Even need to watch him near the bird feeder. Netanyee's favorite treat would be ANY! Netanyee is very patient when you prepare his food. He is not food aggressive, only he will eat too much too often if given the chance!Netanyee is great around all three of our Papillons and was from the first minute they met! He will try to chase a cat once in awhile if they run from him. But he will also lay on the couch a foot away from one. He has learned to coexist with cats quickly. He actually adapts to new situations quickly. He just follows the other dogs cues!Netanyee likes to play with toys if you initiate the play. He doesn't get them from the toy chest. Netanyee does like to play fetch with the cats balls. Netanyee is fluid in doggie language andhe and Sprinkles are in play bows several times a day. Netanyee even gets 10 year old Sprout to play occasionally! Netanyee likes to chew on bully sticks. He isn't an aggressive chewer. He makes them last. Netanyee goes willing into his crate to eat and any time he feels threaten. Netanyee also travels very well in a crate in the car. He doesn't get sick or make a peep! In our home, our pets are welcomed on the furniture. Netanyee loves to snuggle on a fluffy blanket on the couch. Netanyee does seem to get cold often, or at least shakes. I always offer him some food and a blanket when he shivers. Since he is a tiny dog, I feel he should be watched for hypoglycemia! Both food and warmth stops his shakes every time. His very favorite places to snuggles is your lap! He is definitely a cuddle bug.
