Meet Nero
Do you have the heart to give a special dog a home? Meet Nero, a Shar Pei/Mastiff mix. He came to the shelter over 8 months ago because his owner’s other dog was being aggressive toward him. Since then, Nero has turned into a Sammie’s Friends FAVORITE! In fact, he hangs out in the office with the staff because we love him so much.
Nero is an amazing dog - affectionate, loyal, funny, with a striking handsome appearance. And he gets along with almost all other dogs. Since he’s shy about meeting new people, he’s had a hard time getting his forever home. However, it only takes him a few days to really warm up to someone, sometimes less. And then he’s your best friend! If you have the patience, Sammie’s Friends’ staff is willing to bring him to your home for a couple hours a day or do whatever it takes to help Nero build a relationship with you.
