Meet Nemo
Meet Nemo!
Nemo was found neglected and abandoned by a nice lady who took him to her vet to be checked out. The 1st vet said he had Demodex (a non contagious mange). However, when I took him to my vet, they didn't see a single Demodex mange mite on him when they did a skin scrape. So, my vet is treating him for severe allergies that were not properly treated due to neglect. His fur is not growing back in many places due to scar tissue.
The vet estimates Nemo is around 5-6 years old and he weighs right around 40 pounds. He is neutered, updated on all shots, heartworm tested negative and current on heartworm prevention,
I think he would be great in a home with calm kids (over 10). He is good with other dogs and cats he just does not like sharing his food (which I don’t blame him).
He is crate trained, as long as the crate is the correct size for him (can’t be too big). He is mostly house trained too, as long as he has plenty of potty breaks.
Nemo’s adoption fee is a donation of your choice. We can’t ask a fee of what we have spent on him of course. All vet records will be given to the adopter at the time of adoption.
If you are interested in donating to Nemo’s care and helping us “Find Nemo” (to see what he ends up looking like) our Venmo ID is: @Hope-Smith82 and put Nemo as what it is for section.
To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com
*We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.*
The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are on the page, they are more than likely still available. We do keep our website and Petfinder updated regularly.
Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply.
Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!
