Nelly's Story

Meet Nelly!

Nelly is a 2-year-old Blue Heeler mix whose other half is a mystery, but her sweet personality isn’t! She’s very affectionate with people and, although she can be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly—especially with treats. She walks great on a leash, is food-motivated, and is fully crate-trained. Nelly is also a very quiet girl who enjoys calm companionship.

We’re not sure yet how she does with kids or cats. With other dogs, she leans toward the dominant side, but she gets along very well with more submissive dogs and does best with confident but easygoing companions.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal dog with a loving heart and great manners, Nelly may be the perfect addition to your home.

Submit an application at Hdrescueoregon.com. $400 adoption fee.
