Meet Nellie! Nellie is a female 7-year-old Cocker Spaniel who weighs 30 pounds. She was recently rescued from a puppy mill, and she is learning what the good life is all about!

Nellie is sweet, loving and loyal! She has adapted to life outside of a puppy mill quickly and has proven herself to be quite resilient! She has not yet met a stranger and loves to give her humans the best hugs. Nellie thrives on human companionship and is content whenever she is close to her foster parents. Nellie's favorite activities include napping in her dog bed, tasting yummy treats, going on walks around the neighborhood and playing with her toys!

She is fostered with a 50 pound dog and a cat, and has done well with them both through slow introductions. Nellie is great on leash and loves to sniff all the fun things outside! She is extremely treat motivated and comes running when called. Nellie has made great progress on her house training but still has the occasional accident inside; she would love a patient adopter to help her master this skill.

Nellie is a beauty with her unique coloring and big floppy ears! She is ready to be someone's best friend forever!

Nellie is fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Her adoption fee is $450.00.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
