Meet Nellie!

Nellie is a well behaved, sweet, gentle girl. She is one year old, 30 pounds, and lots of floof! Nellie is a pomsky (pomeranian/husky cross) who was rescued out of an Amish puppy mill. Her background has led her to be shy initially, particularly with men. But once she warms up, her personality is fun and adorable. She is playful, intelligent, house trained, and crate trained (but doesn't require crating). She needs a fenced yard as she loves the outdoors, and she's a snowy weather fan! While she's overall a nice medium energy, she does needs consistent daily exercise - she recently started jogging with her foster and loves it! She's dog friendly, and would benefit from a dog sibling, but she prefers a more relaxed energy - highly excitable dogs are a bit overwhelming. She does like to play once settled in! She's also great with cats. No small kids, as their unpredictable movements and noises can be a bit scary for her. Nellie is such a great pup, help us get her home!

Nellie is available for adoption through Ma, Paws and Me Pet Rescue based out of Watertown, WI. Nellie is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $325. To apply please visit mapawsmepetrescue.com

All Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue dogs are in homes with foster families; we do not have a shelter where dogs are available for daily viewing.

Our process is as follows:
1. Review our policies and adoption radius on our website: http://mapawsmepetrescue.com/adopt/
2. Submit an application for review and approval;
3. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references;
4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s);
5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash).

Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
- Spay/Neuter surgery
- Age appropriate vaccinations
- Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive
- Microchip
- Deworming
- Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
- Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian
