Nellie is a very dear soul who Loves (yes, with a capital "L") people. She is an adult dachsund mix with a joyful outlook on life. Nellie came to us blinded by cataracts and -- although she has always been sweet and good-humored -- now that her cataracts are removed she is just delighted by the world! All she needs is a loving home. She lives happily with other dogs of all sizes and she is very affiliative with people. She loves to be held (on your lap or across your shoulder or like a baby, she loves it all!). Nellie also has diabetes, which is easily managed, and Nellie is a model patient! She is a special doggie that would appreciate a special home.

All of our animals are up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide: veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, one month’s worth of flea medication and heartworm medication, one week’s worth of food, a leash, a collar, an ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also provide lifetime basic positive training support.
