Neil (Diamond) American Staffordshire Terrier & American Bully Mix Lafayette, CA

Meet Neil - he's 8 months old and 58 lbs, a dapper tuxedo-wearing pittie boy! He is a true velvet hippo, and has the cutest little diamond marking on his nose (thus his name, Neil Diamond! At some point in the recent past, poor Neil lost the end of his tail - it's healed though, and he just says his wags are now a little more aerodynamic. :) He is playful and likes everyone he meets. He's dog friendly and even tested OK with cats at the shelter. He’s working on leash manners, and crate and house training. He has picked up “sit” quickly and you can tell he really wants to please his humans! Neil would make an amazing family dog. Help us find him the perfect family!

Thank you for reading about our awesome dog. All dogs came to us from different situations and we often do not know much about their past, but they are rescue dogs who deserve a second chance and need patience on their journey. Our dogs are in foster homes across the Bay Area.

The first step in the process is to submit an application (link below) in order to set up a meet and greet or talk with the foster family. Once the application is submitted, the foster parents will contact you to chat more about the dog and make sure they're a good fit, and can answer any further questions. The application answers most of our questions in order to best match you. If you do not get the dog you apply for we can use your same application for 90 days towards another dog in our care and simply forward your app to that foster parent.

All dogs will be fully vetted (Spay/Neuter, Microchipped, DHPP and Rabies Vaccinated) and other possible vet care prior to adoption.

The adoption fee is $200 which is considered a non-refundable donation.
