Nash or Nashville as we call him is a big boy at approximately 55 lbs and more lab in stature. He is very sweet but can be aloof. He was adopted as a 8 week old and returned at 8 months. While I don’t know what happened in his adopters home I do know Nash took a long time to come out of his self preservation shell. We could not pet his head for months. Now he loves to have his head pet and ears rubbed. He is a perfect gentleman here. Gets along with most of the dogs we have. Prefers not to be around the bully’s. He is chicken safe supervises and horse safe though they are fun to bark at. Nash has the worst recall of any ACD I have had. I thought he was deaf at first, he isn’t deaf. He either didn’t know his name or just blatantly doesn’t listen. We have worked on this and I would say we have some improvement but I honestly don’t know if he comes because I call him or if he is following the pack. Nash will be a perfect partner if you are patient and don’t mind putting a little time into training him. We have just allowed him to learn to be a dog. Social skills and dog skills have come a long way.
Nash needs a stable patient home with no kids.
