Nala Labrador Retriever Clayton, NC

Nala is a wonderful soul. She is so soft and loving. She isn't too needy, but does like to be near her people. She takes a while to get used to new people but when she chooses to trust you, you can't help but fall in love.

Nala is okay with cats but has chased them so a home without cats is probably best. She has been okay around the male dog in her foster home, but can get testy with toys. She might do best as an only dog in a low-key household without small children. She doesn't have high energy but she tells you when she wants to play and run! She likes to put on show for you as she sprints back and forth - smiling as she goes. :-)

Nala does well on the leash. But she does get nervous walking on the road with activity and cars around her. She would do well with a patient handler who can work with her on regular socializing so she doesn't get to inclusive.

Nala is housetrained and crate trained. She sleeps in her kennel at night. Her foster has a small fence and Nala doesn't try to escape and she doesn't get on the furniture in the house. She is very smart! Toys that make her work for treats are great. She'll be a wonderful companion for the right home!

Nala is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Our $250 adoption fee covers these expenses.
