Look at our handsome hero Murphy, looking amazing and feeling renewed. He’s a handsome 2 yr old Basset Hound/Terrier Mix. He weighs about 19 lbs.
This beautiful low-rider is a San Bernardino Shelter survivor. He had tons of people rallying for him to be rescued. He was loved by the shelter caretakers and they too pleaded he be saved since he was already on the Euthanasia list; we got there just in time… hours before his time was up.
The shelter thought he needed a FHO surgery, however after our vet saw him, it was confirmed that his ACL needed to be repaired. Thanks to our community of supporters, we were able to restore his leg and now he’s like a brand new pup!
He’s sweet, super affectionate, loyal, mellow, and playful. He LOVES toys! He always carries a toy in his mouth throughout the house and especially when it’s playtime in the backyard. He loves to play with other dogs but also does well alone; he’s happy to play with his toys alone.
Murphy is not a picky eater and is also housebroken! He’s such a good boy! He has gorgeous huge hound paws and a smile that will melt your heart. He’s soo grateful to be alive and to be pain-free. He was missing half his left earlobe when we saved him from the shelter but doesn’t bother him one bit. He’s ready for his forever family!
