Murphy Jack Russell Terrier Mix Tucker, GA

Murphy is a typical jack russell -- a whole lot of sweet lovin' with the occasional attitude. Though rescued as a stray at 8 to 9 years old, his foster feels certain he was once a much loved house dog. He is fully housebroken, non-destructive, and knows commands. He will roll over for belly rubs and loves to jump in your lap and hang out while watching movies. Murphy is 95% loving and wonderful, but every so often, he will growl/snap to let you know he's uncomfortable. We can't exactly pin point why just yet, but it is decreasing in just the time he's been in foster. So it very well could be transition nerves. Initially, he was uncomfortable about going into a crate, however, he quickly learned to go in for a treat -- and now he seems to like it. He eats in there and sometimes retreats there for down time.. The 95% loving Murphy far outweighs his grumpy moments. This little cutie is looking for someone who will lovingly and patiently let him settle in. We suspect he will be good as gold once he knows it's a forever home with people he can trust. Murphy is on Vetmedin for the remainder of his life due to a left side heart murmur but CCR will pay for at least the first 6 months of his medication which is about $25 per month. This doesn't slow Murphy down at all...he loves to walk and has a great happy spirit:) Please consider giving Murphy a forever family to love. We are certain that you won't be sorry.
