Handsome Murphy is very Velcro. This sweet Australian shepherd is excited to be part of whatever youre doing, whether its taking a walk, playing in the yard, or watching TV. Everything is so much fun! He loves to play fetch. He loves to swim. Balls are amazing. He even can vault over other dogs and show off his athletic talent

Although Murphy can have lots of energy when hes playing or frolicking outside, hell chill when hes in the house. Hes very good in his crate, is perfectly house trained, and knows his basic commands.

About 2 1/2 years old, Murphy loves to learn. Hes looking for someone who is active and wants a canine buddy for adventures, hiking, swimming, and maybe learning tricks. Murphy needs a home with a fenced-in yard so he can run and show off his skills. Hes fine being an only dog since hes totally focused on his person.

His foster mom says, Murphy is not only stunning, but hes also a very good boy.

The first step in our process is to fill out an application which you can do online at http://www.speakstlouis.com/forms/adoption-application/. We foster these pups in our own homes, therefore we do not have the prospective applicant meet the dogs until they are approved. Approval consists of filling out the application, a vet check (contacting your vet), and may request a home visit which will be done by one of our volunteers who is closest to you (this visit will give us a chance to meet with you). We become very attached to our fosters because they are in our homes, so this process ensures the foster families that the dog/puppy is going to a safe home, but more importantly the right home. After approval, if the foster feels you are a good match for the pup, they will contact you and set up a time for you to meet.


Our adoption donation is $300.00. This includes up-to-date vetting, microchipping, heartworm, flea and tick prevention, and spay/neuter.
