Meet Munchkin the Itty Bitty Pittie

Meet Munchkin! This tiny pup has a big heart full of love waiting for her furever family! She is pocket sized and will go just about anywhere with you. She loves being picked up and definitely loves belly rubs. We think belly rubs are the sure way to win her over! Who wouldnt want a little munchkin love?

Munchkin gets along well with everyone and everything. Probably even a butterfly LOL. She met a variety of dog all different sizes and all with different personalities and was a friendly little lady to every dog she met. She was even patient with a larger scruffy male dog that loved smelling her! Munchkin honesty didn't seem to care. She also met two other female dogs both confident in their own ways a playful and Munchkin was a precious lady with them too. She wasn't too interested in playing with the dogs she met, she was more of the laid-back and watch kind of girl that wanted affection from people. Even when she was inside with dogs, she was a relaxed and mellow lady. Munchkin also met our house biggie and it was the same thing. She would sniff him, say hello and then she was off doing her own thing again. An unbothered mini QUEEN, that's what Munchkin is. She is a five star pup in our eyes, and we just cant wait for you to meet her! We were lifting her up like simba in the lion king, and she didnt care one bit! It was so funny! We would carry her in our arms like a little baby all day long if we could.

Her foster says she does the funniest thing-- she will do crunches on the carpet or grass when shes trying to scratch her back! She also fake sneezes when she plays with her foster sibling. She is so goofy! She adores her toys and will happily entertain herself chewing on a bone or a squeaky toy. She also likes stuffed animals, and she is very respectful and doesnt destroy them. Everybody say good job munvhkin! Munchkin absolutely loves walks. Her tiny little body jumps up an down at the door because she is just soooo excited to go! She gets the zoomies when she knows shes going for a walk too-- its just the cutest thing! She loves to snuggle, especially after her walks when she can get some energy thats somehow stored in that little body out!

Munchkin is crated during normal working hours, so almost 9-5 everyday with no issues! At night she sleeps in her little cozy dog bed. She loves going for car rides too, but shes sneaky and may try to crawl in your lap! She unloads and loads into and out of the car with ease. She loves looking out the window watching the world pass by!

Munchkin is not destructive in the house, but she loves treats just as much as we do, so close that pantry door! She is so tiny that she cant reach much, and her curiosity is adorable. Because she loves treats so much, we believe that Munchkin would be a dream to train new tricks with! She welcomes everyone at the door with a smile and tail wag, soon after she will be requesting belly rubs, flopping over on her back at your feet.

Munchkin will let you know if she hears anything funny outside, so a home may be best for this little one. She currently lives in a town home and does wonderfully! She is comfortable going up and down the stairs too!

Her foster says "I have no doubt she would be a warm and loving addition to any family." Could that family be yours?

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescues hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.

It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
