Mozzy has a heart so full of love, and he's very eager to share the love. Mozzy is a puppy who has never met a stranger and wants to love on everyone. He's a calm puppy, totally content with snuggling on the couch or following you around while you do chores. He's figured out the doggy door and does amazing going potty outside but still prefers to not go alone. Mozzy is a talker and uses barking to tell his humans his needs. If his bowl is empty, needs to potty or not wanting to be alone he'll bark to let you know. So far this is the only time he barks, but he already has a deep big bark, so please keep that in mind when considering him for your family. Mozzy is wonderful on a leash for practice in the backyard and gets super excited when he sees it. I think he'll be a great walking buddy. He does well in the car and will most likely be a great travel companion. Mozzy has been great with our older dogs in the house, likes to lightly play with them and follow them around but is very respectful of their space. Mozzy is looking for a forever family who has lots of love and time to give him and is fully prepared to give all the love back to his family!
----------------------------------

Mozzy is the puppy you do NOT want to miss out on. He is young, he is fluffy, he is cuddly, and he already has such a good temperament. If you have been hoping for a little black-and-white shadow that will follow you everywhere, Mozzy is it.

Mozzy is the kind of social butterfly that everyone wants. He never meets a stranger and is always eager to befriend the other dogs. Mozzy is too young to go places right now but we feel once he is older he would enjoy going on adventures with his new family. He is lower energy so constant hikes may be asking a bit too much of this lazy and chill boy but he would be down for some walks through the park or neighborhood! He is too young to say if he will be a water-loving dog or not. Mozzy is more likely to snooze instead of chase after a toy, but he has started picking up toys and lightly chewing on them.

If you are looking for a potty-trained dog, Mozzy isn't for you. However, he has already figured out the doggie door and is very close to having it down. So, if you whoever adopts him shouldn't have to work too hard to get him the rest of the way! Mozzy isn't the biggest fan of the kennel when the door closes on him, but as long as it is open he does like snoozing in there. Mozzy has not been a big chewer, but he is still a pup. So, if you are the kind of person who always has things lying around...a puppy may not be the best choice! Alternatively, if you need some help keeping things put up...Mozzy can help train you! ;)

Mozzy is good with other dogs and will engage in some light play with them. He is good with kids, but given his young age would probably do best with older kids. Mozzy has not met a cat yet, but given how young he is we believe he would do fine with one.

I know what you are thinking...this boy sounds just about perfect! How in the world did he end up in rescue?!

Well, whoever first had Mozzy didn't realize what an amazing gem they had. They abandoned him, Theo, and Yukon in the middle of nowhere. When they were finally found, they were emaciated, full of mats, dirty, and sickly. They were brought to the shelter where they served their stray hold and for a bit the shelter was quite worried if they would pull through or not. It is believed that these three had been kept in a very small space, maybe a kennel, with little interaction. It is hard to believe that a puppy this amazing had such a sucky start to life, but he doesn't let that get him down. He is so thankful that he is now part of a family and getting lots of attention. He LOVES getting to cuddle with his people, and truly has one of the best temperaments around! ♥

You can apply to adopt Mozzy at

Please we are begging you though, only apply to adopt Mozzy if you can keep him forever. If you can't keep Mozzy through ALL of life's changes, don't be the one that makes him have to be passed around a few months/years down the line.

He deserves a family that will love and stand by him forever. Ohana means family, and family means that no one gets left behind. ♥
