Meet Moxie - this sweet mama has had it harder than most. When she arrived at our shelter, she was in rough shape, a gunshot wound to her hind leg meant it had to be amputated. But upon arrival, we also discovered something incredible: Moxie was pregnant with 11 puppies.<br/><br/>In our care, she recovered from her amputation and adjusted to her new life on three legs, while also giving birth and lovingly raising her babies. Now that all of her pups have found homes, it's finally her turn for a second chance.<br/><br/>Moxie has also recently been in a foster home during some of our colder nights. While in the foster home, they described her as confident and sweet. She enjoys looking out the window and keeping an eye on what's going on outside. Moxie loves to be near her people.<br/><br/>Moxie gets around great on three legs! She loves to play with toys, run around the yards, and get all the love. <br/><br/>Her life has certainly changed over these past few months, from losing a leg, to becoming a mom, to watching all 11 of her puppies head off to their new homes. We're hoping to give her one more change: a loving home.
