Meet Nova!!
Nova is a beautiful medium sized Shepeard mix. She's very loving and devoted to her people and very protective as those familiar with Shepherds know they love to protect their family. Nova does best with older children 10 years and up. She's energetic and playful but she also loves to snuggle with you and binge watch Netflix.She loves toys, and we suggest strong ones because she really loves to chew on them and the toys can get destroyed if not strong. She enjoys playing with other dogs and running around in her yard with her foster siblings.Visible fenced yard is required. Dogs her size or larger are best, because she does play a bit rough since she is so young. Another wonderful thing about Nova is that she is completely house trained and also crate trained which makes life much easier. She can be left several hours in the daytime without having an accident or being destructive, as long as she has her toys and bones she will be a happy girl. She walks great on a leash and enjoys going for daily walks. She likes giving and getting hugs and kisses too!.
She was recently returned to our rescue after being part of a large loving family for over 5 months. They are an active family, who are hoping to have lots of company and large family gatherings and Nova would not do well with that type of lifestyle. She is very protective of her family and not very welcoming to strangers as she would need time to get to know them first. They didn't want to have to keep her locked up whenever they have guests in their home, so they felt it best to allow her to find a new family to whom she is better suited for. She misses her family, but she is getting lots of love and playtime with her doggie friends at her old foster home while awaiting to meet her new family. A family with Shepherd experience is required. Nova must have another dog in the home. She does not do well being an only dog.
