Meet Moses!

Moses is a 6-year-old Rottweiler who came to us after his owner passed away. According to the roommate who surrendered him to us, the owner did not take very good care of him and his brother, Ruger. Despite this, Moses and Ruger are two of the sweetest dogs we have met!

Moses is just over 100 lbs and has the biggest head I've ever seen. He loves to play and will jump, but doesn't jump up on people, he just likes to jump up and down. We would love for Moses and Ruger to go to a home together, but they are currently separated so that Ruger could get better medical attention for his skin. He seems to do well with other dogs, and of course is great with his brother Ruger, but did seem reactive when he saw a cat at the clinic.

Moses was neutered and had entropion surgery on both of his eyes on 4/9/25. We will recheck him in 2-4 weeks and will assess whether he will need more surgery to correct his eyelids later. Entropion is a very common issue in Rottweiler's and so far it does not seem to have caused permanent damage to his cornea. He is also currently being treated for an ear infection.

Moses is available for foster or for adoption. he is currently staying with our friends at Top Dog Daycare and Boarding.

Adult Dogs – $300
Cats – $100

Adopting a pet is a big decision, and our process ensures the best match for both you and your new furry friend—here’s how it works!

1. Reach Out – Interested in adopting? Send an inquiry through the Petfinder link or call our office at 614-471-9000 to speak with our adoption coordinator.


2. Adoption Discussion – Our coordinator will review our adoption process and policy, discuss the pet’s needs, and help determine if it’s a good match for your family.


3. References – Before meeting the pet, we’ll complete a landlord and vet reference check to ensure compliance with lease and veterinarian recommendations.


4. Meet & Greet – We’ll schedule a visit so you can meet the pet in person. Afterward, we ask you to take time to think before making a decision.


5. Home Visit – If you're still interested, we’ll bring dogs to your home for a second meeting and introductions with your pets. Cats do not attend home visits to reduce stress.


6. Final Adoption – Once you’re ready to adopt, we’ll schedule the adoption agreement signing, provide medical records and register the microchip.
