Meet Morgan

If you think you've already read this story before- you have! We rescued two sisters so their story is the same. The good news is, if you are looking for two dogs that are awesome together here they are! Morgan and Madison love each other, share everything, play and are bonded.

I'm sure this story is nothing new- two sisters left behind when the family moved. The idea that someone can do that and not feel regret or even concern for the welfare of these dogs is still, after fifteen years in rescue, hard for me to wrap my mind around.

When one of our Diamond Dog Adopters reached out to us about these two girls who had been wandering the streets for days with no home, no family, no one to care for them asking if we could help it was hard to say no after viewing the video she sent to us of them.

Often dogs who have been left to fend for themselves find lots of attention from people "shooing them away" and tend to then become fearful and shy away. Coaxing and begging them to trust and come to you is often difficult. But, not these two!

Both girls, in spite of being literally abandoned by their humans, had no concerns or fears of anyone reaching out to them. They were happy go lucky, they were bonded to each other and they were adoring any attention and love shared with them. In other words, their personalities shined right through that video and into my heart.

But, as always, our concern is where do these dogs get placed while we get them vetted and made ready for a home? As luck would have it, they not only touched us, but someone else who lives in the area of NC where they were found. She offered to foster them for us while getting them vetted and through quarantine time. NO QUESTION- these girls were meant to be Diamond Dogs!

While in their foster home the girls shared indoor living quarters with lots of dogs of all ages and sizes, with cats and their foster mom. They were awesome and got along with everyone famously! So, once they were spayed and ready to head to our favorite day care/boarding facility in Myrtle Beach volunteers made the trip with them both. Needless to say, true to their great personalities they were wonderful on the ride and wonderful at doggy day care the minute they arrived. It's like they are the "favorite class sisters" that everyone wants to play with!

Morgan is around 40-45lbs and thought to be around 10-11 months old. She is fully vetted, spayed and on preventatives. Currently enjoying lots of playtime and socializing, she is located in Myrtle Beach, SC and would be transported to an approved adopter anywhere along the east coast from SC to ME. To see more about these girls, check them out on their very own Facebook Page at: "A rescue's journey- Meet Madison and Morgan"

An application to adopt Morgan can be found on our website at:
