MOOSEY GOOSEY's Story
Meet Moosey Goosey, a 40-lb blue nose Staffy with a heart as big as his smile! This sweet boy is an energetic shadow who loves being wherever his people are. If you sit down, he’s in your lap; if you walk across the room, he’s right behind you. He’s the ultimate cuddle buddy! He gets along well with other dogs and is still unsure about cats. He’s working hard on his potty training and learning to take treats gently—he just really loves snacks! Moosey is also deaf, which means he’ll thrive with someone ready to guide him using visual cues and patience. He doesn’t ignore commands—he simply can’t hear them—but he tries so hard to please. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will adore you endlessly, Moosey is your guy! Medical Consult: Thank you for choosing to adopt a dog who may have special needs. The dog you are welcoming into your home has shown signs of hearing impairment. At this time, the exact cause of the hearing loss is unknown, and we cannot say with certainty whether it is partial, complete, temporary, or permanent. While this condition does not currently require medical treatment, it may affect how the dog interacts with their environment. He might not respond to verbal cues or sounds in the way a hearing dog would. Many dogs with hearing differences adapt well using visual signals, touch, and consistent routines, and they can live full, happy lives with a little extra patience and understanding. We encourage you to take some additional safety precautions, such as keeping the dog on a leash or in a securely fenced area when outside, and approaching him gently to avoid startling him. As you get to know each other, you’ll discover the best ways to communicate and build trust. By adopting this dog, you acknowledge that you are aware of his current hearing status and are prepared to provide a safe and loving environment, regardless of how his hearing may change over time.
