MooMoo (Special Needs)'s Story
If you’re looking for a sweet companion, MooMoo can be that pal. This Special Needs boy loves being close to his person and doesn’t know he has a disability. He injured his back jumping off a sofa in the summer of 2022, but was not treated at that time. He has recently seen a neurologist who says surgery won’t repair his injury, but that he is not in pain. She said he is a “reflex walker,” meaning his hind quarters aren’t exactly coordinated with his front end, but he does have use of his back legs. He can go up and down several steps, but cannot navigate a whole flight. Due to his injury, he doesn’t have complete control over his bladder or intestines. He is currently on Deramaxx once daily. He has learned to compensate, has good mobility and will likely benefit from water therapy. MooMoo loves car rides and enjoys back yard time, especially when his person is with him. He just wants to be where you are.

MooMoo will need a quiet, adult only home with a family that can meet his special needs. If you work from home or are retired and have the love and time to devote to this young fellow, he will reward you with lots of love and puppy kisses.
