Moo Hound & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Charlottesville, VA

It's MOOOOOO!!
There is a lot to say about this very cool boy and he didn't want to talk too much about himself so....here we are. Moo is in Smithfield, VA at our center.

If this boy could speak while he stares us down, waiting for our next move, we imagine he may say "GET with it, people....". or 'please just come over and sit with me and....take selfies with me...I love those".
And he does, as you can see.

This 5 yr old boy was a dad to Izzy's puppies,
They ended up on chains 24/7 and we are pretty sure he has been a dad to several of Izzy's litters. :(

He's funny, smart, wickedly cute with eyes that melt you and would truly like to be in your pocket...unless he's in the middle of running the fields.

We can only assume that he got in trouble a lot ...and was punished a lot for not coming when called because it took a few months for him to trust that he was NOT going to get in trouble when he came to us from his jaunts in the field which, early on, we had to keep a long line on this boy! There was so much to see and do in this new place and he had to figure it out! And he wasn't getting interrupted,,,no way, no how.

Now? he is the best boy sticking with you when out for his jaunts. He, 99% of the time, comes when called as he knows he gets all those praises and maybe a treat or 2 in there for him as well.
He has learned leash walking BEAUTIFULLY! and is a joy to take on field trips to the beach or the park.

Moo can be a bit touchy about other dogs...He really would love to be the only one in your life but we (nor he) are against meet and greets if it's a special, not very submissive kind of gal! We are pretty confident in thinking Izzy was the only dog he really had in his life and any true socializing with 'growing up was just with her..and she let him know when he was out of bounds.
He has been wonderful with kids that he has met!
