When I first met Montez I thought, "Wow, he is striking!" Literally every photo I took he was a star. He bounced around in the run and did need to continue to learn leash manners. We don't know anything about this boys past but he has had a lot of unfortunate happenings since he came to the shelter. He was adopted once and left in the care of children and he escaped from them. A kind woman remembered his handsome face and collected him to bring him back to safety. She brought him to the shelter so his owners could collect him, instead they decided not to pick him up. Montez was also involved in an altercation with a larger, more aggressive dog which left him fearful and depressed . He is a sweet boy who is still very puppy like and needs work as all puppies do, he was never given the chance to prove he can learn and take correction to blossom into the good boy we know he can be. He needs an owner who is willing to work to help him shine. He has the prettiest smile around and I hope we see more of it.
