Story:

Monkey is a fundraiser dog. Funds from his adoption fee will help a new group of underage german shepherd/lab mix puppies and multiple others get prepared for adoption.

Monkey and his siblings were rescued from Perris, CA. One of our volunteers was dropping off packages at the USPS post office when he stumbled upon a US veteran who used to work on aviation upholstery for years. The man had multiple packages to drop off and our volunteer had a conversation with him about what he was doing. It was so interesting seeing an old man with a large number of packages to drop off. After retirement, the man decided to run his own business from home by selling custom made motorcycle upholstery on ebay. Being a successful entrepreneur, the man had a big heart for animals and he liked what our volunteer is doing and he promised to get in contact if he finds any dogs in need.

One day the man called our volunteer and he mentioned that his sister's dog gave birth to 6 puppies. She kept the puppies with their mom in a crate in her garage. The crate had large openings and the man's sister did not know that a puppy can get out of such opening and stay all night with no milk from his mom. The man's sister woke up in the morning to find out that 2 of the puppies fell out of the crate and passed away due to cold. The 4 left puppies were still around their mom but they were getting cold. The lady was frustrated and heart broken. She realized that she do not have experience dealing with dogs this age and she asked her brother for help. The man communicated with our volunteer who came to pick up the dogs. The puppies were transported from Perris to a foster in Apple Valley, CA. The foster put the puppies in an incubator and they started their journey at the rescue. The puppies stayed in the rescue for 11 weeks. During their stay in the rescue, the puppies received puppy formula until they became independent and started eating dog food. They received up-to-date shots of vaccines (5-in-1 and bordetella). They were dewormed, received flea &tick control medication, heart worm prevention medication.

The puppies are now of age to get adopted. They are so sweet and well behaved. They are cuddly and exceptionally smart.

The puppies are not spayed/neutered since they did not reach the age of sterility yet. The adopter must agree to spay/neuter the dog when they become of age as per the adoption agreement.

The puppies are good with people and other dogs. They never been with cats. They are dogs who require monthly grooming. Thus, the adopter must be able to afford their grooming expenses.
