Meet Mona
Mona is a sweet, gentle senior shepherd who was rescued from the Co tra Costa County Shelter. The Shelter believed that Mona had a huge,cancerous tumor that was beyond their resources to remove. Abbey Vet explained Mona and determined that she did not have a cancerous tumor at all. She had a massive mammary infection, probably due to nursing a recent litter of puppies. Mona is in a wonderful foster home where she is learning leash skills and potty training. She loves cuddling and spending time with her 8 yo human foster brother. The jury is out on whether she can get along with her canine foster sister. The foster is working on that. The perfect home for Mona would be with a family with or without kids that likes to take leisurely walks around the neighborhood and spend time at home on the couch watching TV and/or movies.
