Meet Momma

Hi, my name is Momma! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Silly, spunky, exuberant, anxious
-Can Live with Kids: No, Momma needs an adult only home.
-Can Live with Cats: No, this girl has a high prey drive.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, but it will have to be the perfect match! Momma can be selective of her dog friends and has a history of resource guarding. Everyone will have to meet at the shelter first to make sure they get along, and will need continued supervision once in the home.
-Can do Apartment Living: Momma is a large, high energy dog who needs room to run! She also has a history of separation anxiety and would not be well matched for apartment life.
-Potty Trained: Appears to be!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, three private lessons.
-Energy Level: High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
-Additional Information: We first met Momma in the beginning of summer when she arrived at the shelter as a stray. She went out to a foster home shortly thereafter where she gave birth to a litter of 8 puppies! Now that her pups are all adopted, Momma's ready to be the star of the show and find a forever loving home of her own. Momma is a large and in charge lady with a lot of energy and strength! She LOVES to play and will happily spend hours frolicking around with her squeaky toys. The only thing she loves more than toys is food-- Momma will do just about anything for a treat, which will go a long way in her training! She would thrive with a family who won't leave her alone for long periods of time, as she has a history of separation anxiety. Her new home should also have prior experience with dogs, and have the time and resources to invest in her future! Momma might take a little longer than some dogs to fully adjust to her new home, but once she knows her routine, we think she will continue to flourish and be an amazing companion and sidekick to her new family.
