Meet Molly Maid
Age: 14 years | Status: Looking for a forever retirement home
Special Features: Deaf as a doorknob, loves kids, rocking a mammary tumor the size of a playground bouncy ball
Molly Maid didn't come in with a feather duster and apron, but she did arrive with a whole lot of character. This 14-year-old gem was surrendered to us with a mammary tumor so large it might just qualify as her plus-one. Thankfully, it's just hanging out and looks like an easy fix--our vets will remove it and spay her so she can focus on enjoying her golden years.
Molly's lived a full life--some of it on the streets, we suspect, as she's got that classic scavenger instinct (watch your snacks!). She's deaf as they come, but that doesn't stop her from vibing with the world in her own laid-back way. She absolutely adores kids, has an independent streak a mile wide, but when it's bedtime? She'll be curled up right next to you like she's always belonged there.
She doesn't ask for much: a cozy place to snooze, a human or two to love, and maybe a few dropped crumbs here and there.
Ready to give this sweet old lady the soft landing she deserves? Molly Maid is waiting to sweep her way into your heart. To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
