Fostered in Portland, OR
Hi, I'm Molly! I'm a sweet girl who loves my people; I want to be close at all times. I will wiggle for you endlessly and find that my place should be on your lap. When I first came into rescue, I was quite shy, my foster family was very patient with me and really helped build my confidence. I am learning what life in a real home is like. To have a buddy in my new home would be ideal, to show me the ropes, teach me how to play with toys, and help continue to grow my confidence. Despite my inexperience in a home environment, I am very quiet and enjoy showing off my good manners by not jumping on furniture or visitors. I rarely bark, I'm not destructive, nor do I bother with my foster kids' toys. I love walks, and am curious about meeting people & other dogs, this is where my learning continues, I get so excited that pull hard on the leash, so we are working on that, but I don't jump when I meet them. I'm just a strong girl and I like to sniff everything so continued guidance on a leash will help me to understand proper etiquette. So far, I've had good experiences meeting other dogs. I have a quiet intensity that can be a little intimidating and not everyone appreciates assertive hellos. I do my best with calm dogs. When I meet a dog with nervous energy it amplifies my nervous energy. I am crate-trained, I don't love the crate but have learned that my people always return. One thing I know is I don't enjoy weather that is cold and wet, so I don't spend much time outside if the conditions are not ideal. I currently live with two kids over 10 who are respectful and I do well, it does make me a bit nervous when they are loud and rowdy. I do have strong prey drive so kitties are a no for me, and I will keep your yard free of small critters, at least on days with good weather. If you are in the market for a loving young girl like me that is looking for nothing but love and security, then I am your girl. Click my link so we can meet, maybe take a walk, and I can show you how well my leash manners are getting.
