Meet Mocha!

Mocha is a 2-1/2 year old hound mix (best guess) and weighs around 55 pounds. She was found in a box along the River Des Peres in late December 2014 when she was just 4 weeks old. She survived but her siblings did not.

Fast forward 2 years. Mocha was adopted briefly by the family that found her but due to circumstances beyond their control, Mocha came back to Mutts-n-Stuff.

I'll start by listing all the good things about Mo- sweet, silly, medium energy, house trained, crate trained, walks pretty well with her Easy Walk harness, corrects well from other dogs, knows basic obedience commands, does not chew clothes or shoes. She is good with other dogs after proper introductions.

Now the less than good list- allergies to several foods and pollen/grass/mites/etc. Coconut oil and benadryl, strict food diet, along with freezing her dry dog food have helped a lot but she is currently on a medication to help with this spring weather. She does not like baths, getting her nails trimmed, getting drops put in her ears or being restrained. She takes Zanex as needed to help relieve her anxiety prior to vet visits- it is work in progress as she doesn't go to the vet very often.
Mo is a social girl and a great jogging buddy. She loves her walks/runs and wants to say hi to everyone she meets. She rides pretty well in the car but will try to climb out behind you once you open the car door. Her approach with other dogs can come across as rude because she is very vocal when she meets them and plays.

Mo is a very good dog and aside from a few less than desirable qualities, she would make a great family pet. If you would like more information on Mocha, please email muttsnstuff@yahoo.com.
