Moby German Shepherd Dog Mix Oklahoma City, OK

Meet Moby, a shepherd mix that will win you over with simply one glance of his ears! He is a loyal little guy…so loyal he may fight a black bear to protect his chosen person. Moby is 4 months old and became a Misfit after he was attacked and suffered a skull fracture (hence the previous statement about fighting a black bear). This pet is neutered, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped!

Moby is an active little guy that has a personality ten times his stature. Moby loves playing with any and all toys and is great at entertaining himself. He will play for hours running around the house tossing balls in the air or chewing on bones. While independent, Moby quickly chooses his person and becomes super attached. He’s not really a “go with the flow” kind of guy. What this means is that he gets super nervous in new situation and around new people. For this reason, he will need a patient and understanding adopter that is committed to working with him and keeping him socialized and exposed to new experiences.

Moby lives with foster siblings of all sizes and ages and loves everyone. He prefers to be with the smaller pups closer to his own size, but he does okay with the larger pups too. Sometimes they can get a little overwhelming for him and then he prefers to hang out with his foster mom – or maybe it’s just because he is so attached to his foster mom! Moby loves adventures and never runs out of energy! He’s a confident little guy, but also looks to his human for encouragement. Moby thrives on positive reinforcement.

Moby is working on potty training and does well in his kennel, but he is still young and will need work on both. He hasn’t started working on leash training, but will do so soon since he has all his vaccines. Moby would do best in a home with older children and a home where he is allowed time to adjust. His new family will need to understand that he will choose his person and be very attached!
