Meet Mitzi Bitsy

Mitzi Bitsy. Doesn't that name just perfectly capture this tiny treasure? At a mere 4.5 pounds, this 1-2 year old Silky/Yorkshire Terrier mix is a little nugget of sweetness who's ready for a fresh start. Though her beginning was tough, found as a stray and clearly not in a safe place, Mitzi Bitsy's future is shining bright thanks to her rescue. This little sweetheart is still learning that the world can be a kind place, and she's a little unsure when meeting new people, especially men. Because of this, Mitzi Bitsy is dreaming of a calm, all-female home with minimal visitors, and no small children to overwhelm her. Imagine being so tiny in such a big world – it must have been scary! She needs a quiet environment and a patient heart to allow her to blossom at her own pace. But oh, the rewards! Once you earn Mitzi Bitsy's trust, you'll have a devoted little shadow, a true Velcro dog who will stick by your side.
This little lady absolutely adores toys and treats, and really does not like to share them with her pack mates so we believe she would do best as an only dog in the home. What Mitzi Bitsy needs most is a loving home where she can finally feel safe, cherished, and know true happiness. Could your peaceful haven be the happily ever after she so deserves? Mitzi Bitsy is up-to-date on her vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative, just waiting to fill your life with tiny tail wags and endless affection.

This sweetheart is ready for a forever home!

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2025 Puppies under 12 months - $400
Dogs over 12 months - $300

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!

For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq

*Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed.
