This beautiful brindle Boxer babe is Missy! She is 4 years old, spayed, current on her vaccines, and is being fostered in Troutdale, OR.

Missy is a sweet-natured dog and is very loyal to her people. As is typical of most Boxers, she has no respect for physical space, so she’ll want to be close to you whenever possible. In a nutshell, she’s far more interested in humans than she is in other dogs. Missy has met children 6+ years old and is friendly with them, but she does get very excited so a home with smaller/younger kids wouldn’t be a good fit for her.

Missy’s ideal home would be one where her people or person are home more often than not, such as someone who works from home. Because she loves human attention so much, she will make a great companion. If you like taking road trips, Missy would make a great co-pilot; after some initial excitement, it only takes her 5-10 minutes to settle in for the ride. Oh, and when back at home, Missy likes to protect, so she’ll make a good watch dog!

While Missy currently lives in a home with a male dog, it will be best for her that she be the only dog in her forever home. That means, no cats or small animals either. Don’t worry though, she won’t miss having any canine pals to hang out with, because it’s clear that people are her jam!

This girl is smart and knows basic commands like sit, wait, and off. She is semi-crate trained; even willing to eat her meals in the crate. She’s very food motivated, so more training should be a breeze with Missy. While she does enjoy going for walks, Missy can be a bit reactive to other dogs but having a treat in hand when giving her a correction works quite well.

Missy is an active girl with some energy to burn. She’s not really interested in playing fetch or playing with toys though, except for an occasional chew toy. Her truly happy place is racing around doing zoomies in the yard!
