Meet Missy!!! This sweet girl was brought in by her family who could no longer care for her. Missy loves doing zoomies in the backyard while throwing her toys in the air. She enjoys having doggie friends to run around with. Missy will need a family or couple who will take her on hikes or do outdoor activities with her. She would do well with a fenced yard. Missy does great with kids and dogs. She would love to also meet her new family when she arrives up north this weekend. She might not know exactly what snow is all about, but she is ready to learn about it and pounce around in it. Let's give Missy her forever home she deserves. She has lots of love to give!!!!

Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination.

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming, Microchip, Flea and Tick Prevention and Heartworm Prevention.

Spay/Neuter.
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.

HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
