Meet Miss Simpson
Requirements: Monthly Heartworm Prevention for Life | No Cats | No Apartments/Condos
I’m a very special girl with a Cinderella story to match. I came to my foster home in early January after having a litter of puppies. I was severely emaciated and had heartworms in my heart. I raised my babies, watched them get adopted, gained 25 pounds and am now a totally healthy gal. I am now ready to find my forever home.
I’m lovingly known is my foster home as “mama.” My foster family calls me the baby whisperer because any time the baby in the home cries, I comfort her. My foster mom says I am the best dog she has ever seen with children, including her own resident dogs. I really am a great family dog!
I am so good in my crate and have now earned the right to more freedom in the house. I am 100% potty trained and will go to the back door to tell you I need to go.
I have been fostered with all kinds of dogs big and small with low to high energy and did great with all of them. I walk great on the leash and will wiggle my butt our whole walk.
I am medium/low energy. I will get the zoomies a couple times a day, but you can find me on the couch with a pillow snoring away the rest of the day. I am a bit of a goofball and love to do some rolls on the ground so that you will rub my belly. I have the cutest wiggle butt and am such a happy girl.
Due to my past, I am still nervous and on high alert outside of my comfort spot at my house. I will need a family that understands that and is willing to grow my confidence when we go on field trips. I do not have any separation anxiety and do totally fine when you aren’t home. If you want to bring your dog everywhere with you I would not be the dog for you - although foster mom thinks camping and going on hikes in the country will be totally fine! I am a little afraid of men and right now live in a home with my foster mom and two little girls. We have been working on my confidence daily to get me to full my potential. My foster mom says my personality is therapeutic, I just need time. Once we bond, I will be your girl for life.
