Miss Kitty Retriever & Shepherd Mix Detroit, MI

Miss Kitty is a gentle, devoted girl who wants to be loved and is happy to give all of her loyalty and love to her human. She seems completely house trained and never had an accident in my house. She also had access to the backyard for many hours of the day and could often come and go as she liked. (I was always nearby, monitoring them).
She is very good with my dog Henry and often enjoys wrestling with him and chasing him around the yard. She is very fair in the wrestling and never felt like she had to dominate him or play too hard. There was never any food aggression or possessiveness over toys. They each played with the toys and bones I had in the yard. They’d occasionally play tug of war with one of the toys in a good natured way.
In general she seems to prefer spending time with me. She comes and lays on a rug in the kitchen and watches me cook for hours and she's be perfectly happy like that. She does get jealous whenever I pet Henry or talk to him. Even if I was in the other room, she’d run in and interrupt it. She seems very hungry for love and attention.
At night I gently guide her into her crate and she lies down and I talk to her and pet her for a few minutes, tell her good night and then latch the crate. She is very good. She sleeps for 6-7 hours. Probably longer but Henry usually wakes her up!
She only barks if there’s a good reason—someone is on the property or at the door. She did chase my cat up a tree, but when she saw my cat on the porch later she didn’t go crazy through the screen door or anything. So she doesn’t seem to have an intense hatred of cats, maybe just not a good idea to have her in a home with a cat though.
She can be a little stubborn when you try to teach her things, but overall, she’s really mellow and easy to have around. She will be a great dog and give someone a huge amount of love and devotion ?
