Hiya!

My name is Miss Girl and boy oh boy have I been through some tough times!

I remember being adopted for the first time when I was a just a tiny, young thing. Fast forward 7 months later and I'm back at the shelter where I have been saved again. I found my way back in rough shape but a broken femur (now healed), being severely underweight, and heartworm positive (currently being treated for) hasn't stopped me from being a strong and loving companion. Although I am almost a year old, I am only about 16lbs. and plan on gaining back some healthy weight. My siblings grew to be about 50lbs, but it looks like my unfortunate history of malnutrition has caused a very obvious growth stint. I think that's why caretakers keep calling me a 'forever puppy' haha! After spending much needed time in a foster home, I am thriving and feel like a brand-new dog again. My foster parent says that I walk very well on a leash and do great with sleeping in my kennel overnight. My foster parent also thinks it would be best that I go to a home with a family who has dog owning experience or even owns other friendly pups. My favorite hobbies include playing with plushie toys, receiving lots of attention, and exploring! I can't think of anything I want more (besides treats) than a forever home with someone who loves me for who I am. Could that be you?
