Meet Miriam

Found a stray, at approximately 2 years old Miriam has spent plenty of time buddying up to strangers. She knows her way onto a lap or two and she has mastered the big brown eyes, please-pet me face. She is a force to be reckoned with at around 35 pounds.
What can we say? We could learn a lot from her.
Despite all her past has likely involved Miriam is full of love to give. She is a strong, fierce, independent lady who doesn’t let anyone boss her around. Her charming personality and antics are one that will always have you laughing.
Whether it’s rolling over and playing dead from the thunder, or running around the couch and flipping down, tongue out, Miriam is full of personality and loves the attention. She enjoys belly rubs more than anything and hates being fussed at. Any scolding will be rejected with the quick show of her belly as she flops down and tries to change the subject. Sometimes you have to pick her up or say Miriam, stay focused!
Miriam is good with other dogs and cats but would do best in a home without a strong alpha personality canine. She loves to play and run with her friends; she LOVES the water. She is a loud, vocal player, but it’s just another one of her quirks you come to love, her friends will too.
She is good with cats and is fine in their company. She is house trained, amazing in her kennel, and GREAT on a leash!
Miriam can be protective in her kennel with strangers but meets them perfectly on a leash, so we always go this route! Once you are friends she will never forget you and always be ready to lend a kiss!
