Miranda Mountain Cur & Plott Hound Mix Gilford, NH

Miranda is a young, fun loving, all around good girl. She enjoys play time with all dogs big or small -simply whoever will join her in the fun is fine with her! It wasn’t always all fun and games for Miranda though. She was found stray and thin and had been fending for herself for quite a while. Her foster family found out about her and offered to take her in. Despite her rough start, Miranda has blossomed beautifully in her foster home. She is about one and a half years old and has filled out to 63 pounds.
Miranda’s foster mom says “She has plenty of energy when it’s playtime but will quickly settle down for a nap on the couch if that’s what everyone else is doing. She is house trained and crate trained and walks well on a leash. She does still pull a little when excited about going for a walk but will quickly slow when corrected. She’s very smart and eager to please. Oh, and we know Miranda has excellent hearing because she can hear a cookie jar opening from 2 rooms away when she’s in a deep sleep!”
Miranda has been around kids and done very well, although with her goofy personality, she doesn’t always take into account her size, so we think she would do best with older kids.
Miranda loves toys, especially tough chew bones. She’s hoping for an active family that will take her for lots of walks. We think she’d make a good running or hiking buddy too.
