Meet Minnie
Marvelous Minnie is looking for her forever family. She's an energetic 9-month-old blue heeler puppy who absolutely adores people. Minnie loves to snuggle and lie on your lap and will hug you with her front legs while putting her head on your shoulder. She always wants to be where the action is and would prefer not being alone unless she's in her crate.
Minnie is very high energy and doesn't want to settle down until you settle down. If anything or anyone is moving in the house, then that's where she'll be, making sure she's not missing something. She likes to play chase with other dogs, but she would be perfectly happy as the sole dog in the home.
Minnie would likely have a blast with dog sports like Fast Cat or Barn Hunt. She loves walks and is fantastic on the leash. She is great in her crate and sleeps there happily overnight and during her midday nap. She is doing well with potty training.
Minnie is hearing impaired; she can hear certain sounds like dogs barking and some loud noises. She is learning hand signals and so far knows sit and wait.
Minnie needs an active home with people who like to hike and be outdoors. She needs a physical, fenced-in yard and someone with herding dog experience. No cat or kids under 10 please because her herding instinct is strong.
Minnie is being fostered in the Bluffton, South Carolina, area but can travel for the perfect home.
