Meet Minnie

Minnie is a 2 year old 57 lb Boxer mix. Her previous foster parents stated that she is cat friendly and she completely ignores them. She can be dog selective mostly because she plays like an excited young boxer and can get overzealous wrapping her front paws around her playmates. Some dogs are not too fond of this so if they react then she will do the same. Minnie has a boxer nose that makes her snort as she is smelling around. She would do best in a home with a submissive dog or be your only pet. If given enough supervised time she can live happily with other dogs, in her foster home she lived with 6 other dogs (4 males and 2 females). Minnie is energetic so she would be an ideal jogging partner. She does need some work on leash manners but no dog is perfect! She did amazing with house training in her foster home and crates nicely. She is very food motivated so this will help with training. A slow feeder maybe something that would work good for her. Since she loves her food and toys Minnie would do best with no small children or cats. Minnie will thrive in obedience classes and will make an awesome partner in crime! Her foster mom adored Minnie!!

The adoption fee is $300 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.

Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission. If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee. It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.

*****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to email@townandcountryhumanesociety.org.

Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal. If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.
