Minnie's Story

Look who’s ready for a forever home! Our sweet little Minnie!

You may remember we rescued her from a local shelter after receiving an urgent plea. Her previous family could not afford the necessary medical care to treat a huge mammary tumor. Thanks to your donations, she had two surgeries and has fully recovered.

Minnie is a 12 year old, 10lbs Chihuahua and she is a very sweet and affectionate little girl. She loves her humans and meeting new people and enjoys their attention. Our little peanut is a classic lap dog and will cuddle extra close during thunderstorms. Minnie has great house manners and has staked out HER favorite dog beds in the house. She sleeps tight over night and is such a trooper in the morning when it’s time for her daily dry eye drops.

Now that Minnie has recovered she is loving the chance to get outdoors with her people - taking walks, playing in the yard and rides in the car! She is a great traveling companion. Minnie does ok with her foster doggie siblings but she can be sensitive if they get too close to her beds or toys and she will let them know it. She doesn’t like to be left out though so she will check out what’s going on even when it includes barking. LOL We don’t know about cats or kids.

If you would like to give Minnie the wonderful life she deserves, please complete an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org.
Her ADOPTION fee is $200.
