Milo Pettibone's Story
He waited.
Day after day, in the Tractor Supply parking lot — near the place where his people intentionally left him. He waited through rain, heat, and cold, watching every car that pulled in, hoping one would be them.

But they never came back.

By the time Milo came to us, he was exhausted and scared — a loyal heart that didn’t understand why the people he loved never returned. Even after all that, he’s gentle. He’s kind. And somehow, he still believes someone out there will love him for good.

Milo is about 3–4 years old, a 60-pound yellow Lab mix with soft eyes that speak volumes. At first, he’s shy and cautious, unsure if he’s safe… but give him a few days and he’ll quietly follow you from room to room, just to be near you. Once he trusts you, he’ll melt into your side and look at you like you’re the best thing that ever happened to him.

He’s housetrained, walks nicely on leash, loves calm yard time, and gets along with other dogs. He’s fine with cats too, though he may give a playful chase if they dart past him. What he truly needs is a calm, patient home with a fenced yard and someone who understands that love takes time — and that trust, once earned, is forever.

He’s safe now… but safety isn’t the same as home.

?
