Hi, I’m Millie Mae, a 7-year-old spayed Doberman who loves people. I have a big bark, but I’m really a gentle soul. I enjoy playing with kids and other dogs, and occasionally I’ll snuggle with the cat—after maybe annoying her a little.

I love treats, though I need higher-quality dog food because I have a sensitive stomach. I’m fascinated by chickens… but not safely, so I can’t be around them. My foster mom calls me a “town kid” since I haven’t had much exposure to farm animals—I prefer the dog park, snuggles, and lots of attention.

I’m well-behaved at home: I don’t go to the bathroom indoors, chew things up, or destroy anything. I’ll bark to alert you when someone is at the door, but I’m not really a guard dog—if someone broke in, I’d probably try to get pets instead of stopping them.

I need a fenced yard because I get excited when I’m outside. I’m looking for a loving, safe home that doesn’t include chickens. I had a rough start in life, and I deserve a family that will give me the care and attention I’m ready to return tenfold.
