Millie is a wonderful 5-year-old sweetheart who brings so much joy to a home! She has a unique personality that is so easy to love and will bring you smiles each and every day.

Millie wrote up a great bio of herself and we couldn’t help but share it!

“Hi everyone, I’m Millie. I am 40-pounds of affection but am respectful of when you need some space. I have a gentle playstyle and love communicating with my eyes and posture to let you know what’s going on with me.

I like to start my days off with a delicious breakfast and then spending time sitting in front of the sliding glass door, soaking up the sun, and watching the world go by. And if you work from home, that’s awesome! I will happily fill the role of canine coworker reminding you to take breaks to stretch and cuddle. Your very own work-life balance advocate!

If you do need to go into the office, that’s okay too, I am pretty content napping, doing yoga stretches, and just hanging out while you are away. Each day, I really do also enjoy going for a walk and maybe even a car ride if you are up for it, maybe learn a new skill. So far, I know sit, lay down, and shake. Then, the best way to end a day, I think anyways, is snuggled up with my human watching a good movie.

I have gotten to meet new people and have done well and felt comfortable about the whole thing with calm, slow introductions. I think kids might be too much energy and movement for me and likely a large group of people too.

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to improve my leash manners. I tend to pull and am stronger than I look. I have been using a gentle leader-style collar and that has helped a lot. I mean I don’t love it because it really itches my snout, but it is for sure helping to remind me to not pull.

Other dogs really aren’t my jam, and I would like to be the only pet in the home please! I had some not great experiences before coming to Pet Haven with other dogs and while my foster and Pet Haven have been helping me so much, I am my most relaxed self when it’s just me and humans. I also am looking for a home without shared walls or maybe a townhome with just one shared wall that is pretty quiet with no shared hallways.

Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 90-mile radius of Minneapolis, however, we will consider up to 250 miles if the adopter is willing to drive to cities as needed.
